Technical Scuba

I have a slight vision impairment. I wear glasses. Is it still safe to take the open water SCUBA coarse?
my vision isn’t terribly impaired. Can I still take the open water coarse? I plan on getting a pair of corrective goggles ASAP after the classes. Is there anything to visually technical that I need almost perfect vision to see in the coarse?
As long as your vision is good enough to read your gauges without your glasses it shouldn’t be a problem. Things appear to be larger than they really are underwater, so this might help your vision slightly too. Getting a MASK (as you will learn, you dive with a mask not goggles) with corrective lenses should make everything sharp but I imagine you can get by without for now if your vision isn’t that bad.
